Matchday 7 bets

Bournemouth vs. Arsenal

Pick: Arsenal Spread -1 (-125)

The Gunners will travel to Dean Court and look to collect three points and remain undefeated, while Bournemouth is looking to get their first win of the season. The -1 comes at a price of -125, but I feel it still has a lot of value. Arsenal has won by a margin of one goal or more in four of their six Premier League matches, while the Cherries have lost by one or more goals in half of their games. Two of the three games they did cover the +1 spread came against the likes of Chelsea and Brentford; both teams reside in the bottom half of the standings. Arsenal is one of the league's highest-rated teams, and Bournemouth continues to struggle on the defensively ranking near the bottom for just about every defensive statistic. I see Arsenal covering the -1 spread with ease, and in the worst-case scenario, Arsenal only wins by one goal, and we get a push on our bet.

Aston Villa vs. Brighton

Pick: Over 3.5 Goals (+125)

Life has three certainties: death, taxes and a Brighton game going over the total. The Seagulls match going over the total is my favorite pick for the second week in a row. Up to this point in the season, Brighton matches have exceeded the 3.5 goal mark in 100 percent of their games. Villa matches have also seen goals as they are second behind Brighton as 71 percent of their matches have gone over the 3.5 total. I expect there to be goals and lots of them in what should be a fun match to watch.

Tottenham vs. Liverpool

Pick: Tottenham to Score in the First Half (-115)

For the second week in a row, fans get a marquee match-up between two undefeated teams as Liverpool will travel to North London to face the Tottenham Hotspurs. My pick is for the Spurs to score in the first half. Looking back to Liverpool's matchday five against the Wolves, my brother and I noticed a trend of the Reds conceding goals early in the first half. Up to this point, Liverpool has conceded first-half goals in five of their six matches. To build on that stat, Tottenham scored first-half goals in four of their six matches.

Manchester City vs. Wolverhampton

Pick: Manchester City Over 2.5 Goals (+130) & on the spread -1.5 (-115)

Manchester City look to build on their perfect season and collect three points at Wolverhampton. According to FcTables.com, which keeps track of soccer stats regarding sports betting, City has covered the -1.5 spread in four of their six matches. City has also scored three or more goals in half of their matches. Manchester City remains one of the better teams offensively, as they are at the top of the league in possession, shots and shots on target. That coupled with the Wolves struggling defensively, I expect City to cover the spread and get over the 2.5 total of goals scored.
